Role:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Project Manager to join our busy office team located in Stony Mountain, just 15 minutes north of Winnipeg. The Project Manager is required to manage the overall success of construction projects, ranging in size and complexity.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the U Build brand with all clients, employees, trade partners and supply chain partners.
- Serving as the main company representative to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Ensuring the successful completion of the project and its profitability.
- Review schedules, pricing, change orders and purchase order on a regular basis.
- Procure all subcontractors required.
- Negotiate scope of work, costs, payment terms, and complete subcontractor agreements.
- Coordinate project scheduling and staff management.
- Ensure implementation of U Build safety policies among project team.
- Order products from suppliers in a timely manner to ensure materials arrive on time
- Work closely with site superintendents on project details and assist with any site complications.
- Managing tender invitations and compiling competitive bids.
- Review new tenders, prepare bid documents, and successfully submit bids.
- Detailed review of contracts from owner to UBC.
- Preparation of contracts from UBC to Subcontractors.
Education, Experience and Skills required:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction: lean, quality, earned value, technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, estimating, scheduling, safety, design and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable record of success on recent construction projects.
- Strong leadership and management skills with effective decision-making and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Proactive work ethic and a self-imposed desire to exceed every-day expectations.
- High degree of technical accuracy.
- Completion of construction related degree or training program to be considered an asset.
Job Type: Full-time, In-person
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Office location: Stony Mountain, MB - 15 north of Winnipeg
Salary: $72,000 – $98,640 per year
