Role
U Build Construction is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project managers and site superintendents, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. This position requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment..

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and budget, track milestones, and prepare status reports.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project timelines.
  • Support the enforcement of safety and compliance regulations on job sites.
  • Resolve day-to-day project issues and escalate critical matters to project managers as needed.
  • Assist with project closeout, including compiling necessary documentation and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Review and process shop drawings.
  • Prepare cost estimates for change orders and audit purposes.
  • Assist with quality assurance and management of client expectations.
  • Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a construction-related role, preferably as a Project Coordinator or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Construction principles or sustainable building practices is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and able to complete assignments with minimal direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of standard health, safety, and environmental requirements and practices in the construction industry
  • Driver’s license and able to operate a motor vehicle required.
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
